Parris Island Romaine lettuce seed is bolt-resistant. It is considered one of the most nutritious of the lettuce varieties. We love lettuce because it is so versatile. You can grow it as soon as the ground warms in spring, in summer, fall and winter. This lettuce is also amazing in a hydroponic growing system. The fun thing about lettuce is you can grow it in multiple ways. You can choose to let it form ahead and harvest the whole head at once. Or, you can plant a lot of seeds in a row, and harvest leaves when they are a few inches high (known as cut and come again).
You can start your plants indoors and transplant them outside or into an indoor growing system. Lettuce seed can also be direct sown.
