Waltham 29x1 Broccoli seeds are a preference among gardeners for a good reason. This is a productive variety that produces heave, dark green heads of broccoli packed full of nutrients. When you pick broccoli, you can leave the side shoots, and they will provide more broccoli spears for you. This type is dark green (sometimes with a slight blue hue) and has the most heavenly flavor. This broccoli will enjoy the cool seasons of spring and fall and can be planted for both your fall and spring gardens.
Make sure to start your broccoli plants 3-4 weeks inside before you want to transplant outdoors for best results. Most zones don't have a long enough growing season to sow directly outside.
To harvest, cut the stalk at a diagonal slant. Leave side shoots so that you can get another crop.
