Description

Keep your garden growing in cooler weather

Make room for crisp snap peas, colorful roots and fresh greens. This eight-variety collection gives you a selection of cool-season vegetables in individual labeled seed packets, plus eight plant markers to help you keep track of your garden.

Eight heirloom varieties

  • Sugar Daddy snap pea
  • Scarlet Nantes carrot
  • Red Acre cabbage
  • Detroit Dark Red beet
  • Cimmaron romaine lettuce
  • Cherry Belle radish
  • Waltham 29x1 broccoli
  • Dwarf Siberian Improved kale

Plan your next planting

Grow these non-GMO, open-pollinated varieties in garden plots, raised beds or containers with enough space for each crop. Use romaine and radishes in salads, carrots and beets for roasting, and broccoli, cabbage, peas and kale in your everyday cooking.

Choose sowing dates for your local climate. Spring and fall are the main growing seasons for these crops. For a fall harvest, plant early enough for vegetables to establish before severe cold. Winter growing depends on temperatures, daylight and protection; a cold frame or row cover may help extend the season.

Getting started

Direct sow peas, carrots, beets and radishes. Broccoli, cabbage and lettuce can also be started indoors and transplanted when conditions are suitable. Follow each packet for planting depth, spacing, watering and harvest guidance.

Includes eight seed packets and eight plant markers. Soil, pots and growing equipment are not included. Keep unused seed cool, dry and out of direct light.
