Plan for growing space and care

Use the starter pots to establish seedlings, then provide the growing space, sunlight and care needed by each variety. Follow the packet directions for planting dates and any seed preparation. Mature plants may need transplanting into larger containers or a suitable garden bed.

Select milkweed varieties appropriate to your region. Follow species-specific directions, including any cold-moist treatment, and protect monarch host plants from pesticide exposure.
